Acceptance of Terms

By booking a stay through HostBetter or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Booking and Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is only complete once you receive a written confirmation from HostBetter. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion, with a full refund of any payments made.

Payment Terms

Payment in full is required to confirm a reservation unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments are processed in AED through our approved payment providers. Additional charges (cleaning, security deposit, late checkout) will be itemised on your booking confirmation.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests are responsible for treating each property with care, respecting noise rules and building regulations, and notifying HostBetter promptly of any damage or issue during the stay.

Liability

HostBetter acts as the operator of the listed properties. Our liability is limited to the value of the booking. We are not responsible for personal belongings left at the property or for circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation Windows

Cancellation rights depend on how far in advance you cancel and the specific property booked. The applicable window is displayed at the time of booking and on your confirmation email.

Standard Cancellation

Cancellations made more than 14 days before check-in receive a full refund, less any non-refundable booking fees clearly disclosed at the time of booking.

Late Cancellation

Cancellations made between 14 and 3 days before check-in receive a 50% refund of the accommodation portion. The remaining amount is retained to offset lost bookings.

No-Show Policy

Guests who do not arrive on the booked check-in date and have not contacted us in advance forfeit the full booking amount.

Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days of cancellation and may take an additional 3-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your card issuer.

Exceptions

In cases of documented medical emergencies, bereavement, or government-imposed travel restrictions, HostBetter will review the cancellation case-by-case and may grant a refund or rebooking credit outside the standard windows.

Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide when making a booking or contacting us, including name, email, phone number, billing details, and any preferences shared to personalise your stay. We also collect basic technical information (browser type, device, IP address) when you visit our site.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to confirm and service your booking, communicate with you about your stay, comply with legal and regulatory requirements (including DTCM reporting), and, only with your consent, send occasional updates and offers.

Data Security

We store guest information on secured systems with restricted access. Payment information is handled by PCI-compliant payment processors and is not stored on HostBetter servers.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services (payment processors, email delivery, analytics) that may receive limited information necessary to perform their function. These providers are bound by their own privacy and data protection terms.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing care@hostbetter.org. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe in line with applicable UAE data protection laws.
